The Nigerian Military School will witness a historic moment as it celebrates its 70th Anniversary with the attendance of two distinguished Exboys who currently serve as Service Chiefs. This marks the first time in the School's history that two Exboys hold such high positions simultaneously.
Vice Admiral EI Ogalla, the Chief of Naval Staff, and Air Marshal HB Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff, will be in attendance at the NMS 70th Anniversary, showcasing the proud legacy of NMS in producing top military leaders.
The Special Guest of Honour for the occasion is Brig Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa Rtd, the current Chairman/CEO of NDLEA, and a member of the 1966 set of the school. His presence adds to the significance of the event as the school celebrates its rich history and contributions to the nation.
The day's activities will include:
- - Foundation Day Parade - Unveiling of the Anniversary Monument / Ceremonial Tree Planting Event - Lunch with Boys - Football (Ex-Boys Vs Boys) - Tug of War (Ex-Boys Vs Boys) - Homecoming of Exboys to NMS
All Exboys are invited to witness this greatness.
Additionally, Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to the three surviving members of the first set of NMS, then admitted in 1954, also known as No 1 Platoon. Awards of Excellence will also be presented to some of the former instructors of the School.
